Ronald S. Paik, M.D.

A native of Northern Virginia, Dr. Ronald Paik graduated from the University of Virginia, where he was in the Echols Scholar Honors Program. He received his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School, where he was selected as a National Institutes of Health Summer Research Fellow. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago. He went on to pursue further fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the world-renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic, which pioneered the Tommy John surgical procedure for baseball pitchers. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and specializes in sports medicine. Dr. Paik specializes in treating disorders of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee. His goal is to pursue non-operative treatments when possible, but he is experienced in arthroscopic procedures, surgical repair and reconstruction, and total joint replacements (knee/shoulder). Dr. Paik makes it a priority to ensure that his patients are well informed about their conditions and treatment options so that they can make educated decisions.
