Welcome

Nirschl Orthopaedic Center for Sports Medicine and Joint Reconstruction
was founded in 1970 as one of the first orthopedic practices to combine the most current orthopedic treatment techniques with a state of the art rehabilitation facility. Our founder, Robert P. Nirschl MD has been a pioneer in the diagnosis and treatment of sports and tendon injuries. The clinic has consistently been rated as one of the top Orthopedic & Sportsmedicine Clinics in the Washington DC Metropolitan area, as listed in the Washingtonian Magazine's "Top Sport Docs" and as listed in "The Best Physicians in the United States". Our physicians are recognized throughout the US and internationally in their roles as lecturer and key note speakers at orthopedic conferences.

We are located in Arlington, Virginia just minutes south of the Nations Capital.
