Dr. Ochiai is a graduate of Cornell University and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. After his orthopaedic surgery residency at Albany Medical Center, he completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship in Arlington, Virginia. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is an active member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He specializes in treatment of injuries to the upper and lower extremities, and has a special interest in hip arthroscopy. Dr. Ochiai also maintains an active interest in medical education for both patients and health professionals, and is the author of several books. Ochiai is a frequent Associate Master Instructor of Hip Arthroscopy at the Orthopaedic Learning Center Center in Chicago Illinois. Dr. Ochiai is committed to Sports Medicine and Received the Virginia Orthopaedic Society’s 2003 Award for Best Clinical Presentation   Has been on clinical faculty for the Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship Program at the Nirschl Orthopaedic Center for Sports Medicine & Joint Reconstruction since 2003   Is the Sports Medicine Consultant to Inside Lacrosse: www.insidelacrosse.com Dr. Ochiai’s commitment to Sports Medicine was also recognized by his selection as one of three: 2006 Traveling Fellows for the Arthroscopy Association North America Dr. Ochiai has served as team physician for several schools, including Parkview High School   Jeb Stuart High School   Potomac Falls High School Dr. Ochiai continues his involvement in karate.
