Dr. Guidi completed his orthopedic surgery
residency at the Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopedic Institute in New
York and is fellowship trained in sports medicine and arthroscopic
surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic
Surgeons. Dr. Guidi is an active member of the American Academy of
Orthopedic Surgeons, the American College of Sports Medicine and the
American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. Dr. Guidi treats
disorders of both the upper and lower extremities. He utilizes both
non-surgical and surgical treatments to help his patients return to
their active lifestyles.
Dr. Guidi's work in the field of Sports
Medicine has been recognized locally and nationally:
· Named
to the "Who's Who" list of the American Board of Certified Medical
Specialists
· Invited
on radio talk show "Healthworks" to discuss sports medicine injuries
· Participated
in the surgical care of several Super Bowl Most Valuable Players
· Selected
as contributing author to The Athlete's Shoulder, a comprehensive text
on athletic shoulder injuries
· Author
of numerous research papers of disorders of the shoulder and elbow
Dr. Guidi's
commitment to medical education and community service have given him the
opportunity to participate in the care of professional, college, and
high school athletes:
